The Watersports Academy is Poole’s premier water sports centre and one of the largest activity centres on the South Coast. Located in the heart of Sandbanks with exceptional shallow waters and sea breaks. Our experienced qualified instructors offer the widest range of youth tuition from windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, powerboating to kitesurfing for all children from 8 years to 16 years. Plus, unique Brownsea Island residential trips including accommodation, water sports and character building land activities – plus much more.

Weekly Multi-activity Sessions

Weekly RYA Multi-Activity Sessions
2 hours | From £12.50pp per week
Price based on 6 weeks. Available during term-time.

Choose tuition in various water sports activities including paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing. With each session teaching the students a different water activity with qualified fun instructors.

Optional extras include water skiing, wake boarding, ringo rides, treasure hunts and kayak island tours.

These sessions are incredibly fun allowing students the opportunity to learn new sports, encourage confidence, team work and all in a stunning safe location.

Weekly RYA Sessions

Including equipment hire, buoyancy aid, wetsuit, qualified tuition and certificate.

 

Windsurfing or Sailing
2 hours | From £12.50pp per week
6 week course, available during term-time.

 

Students will have fun and gain knowledge of their chosen sport (windsurfing or sailing) to receive RYA certificate(s). Royal Yachting Assoc. (RYA) is the national governing body for watersports in the UK.

These sessions give students the opportunity to learn a new sport, encourage confidence, teamwork and all in a stunning safe location.

Half Day Youth Experience

Includes equipment hire, buoyancy aid, wetsuit and qualified tuition.

 

3 hours | From £30pp

Choose a mixture of two water sports activities from paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing for a morning or afternoon of fun! Your students will learn new skills whilst having a fantastic time.

These sessions allow students the opportunity to learn new sports, encourage confidence, teamwork and all in a stunning safe location.

Watersports Day

Including equipment hire, buoyancy aid, wetsuit and qualified tuition.
Available during term-time.

 

6 hours | From £35pp

Perfect for an end of term or beginning of term team building session – or a fantastic classroom treat!

Teachers will choose a mixture of three water sports activities from paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing for an awesome day everyone will remember for years to come!

Your fun full day of water sports allows students to fully understand each chosen water sport and encouraging confidence, teamwork and all in a safe location.

Full Water Week

Including equipment hire, buoyancy aid, wetsuit and qualified tuition.
Available during term-time.

 

6 hours daily for 1 week | From £30pp per day

Bring your classroom to the beach!

This fun-packed week is a fantastic opportunity for your class to learn new sports. Including tuition sessions in paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing and powerboating.

Sessions encourage confidence and teamwork and all in a stunning safe location.

Brownsea Island Adventures

Including accommodation (camping or bunked dormitories), water sports equipment, wetsuits, tuition, land activities, hot showers/facilities, food and soft beverages.

Our island learning adventures for schools are based on the iconic Brownsea Island, surrounded by sea and wildlife. Students will have the opportunity to learn many new and exciting water sports and bush crafts, gain certificates and build friendships along the way.

Our unique way of teaching focuses on each individual building their attitudes and characters. After the trip we expect the students to have been exposed to all the tools to enable them to become: explorers, team players, adventurers, individuals, forward thinkers and leaders.
